Not only I’ll do the general “log off” boycott on the 17th of December, but I’m also gonna leave Tumblr until it becomes functional again. It became absolute bullshit. I do not feel as good around here as I used to, and for art blogs it became the equivalent of seeing on the Louvre museum’s door : “Do not enter if you are under 18″. Apart from this, it’s been a joy to share art with you all! I hope you had as much pleasure as I had.

Do not exclusively rely on Tumblr to watch art, though! Here’s a non-exhaustive list of platforms displaying art (and you don’t need to be 18):

And, if you can, don’t forget your (not) local museums. Paintings are really majestic in real life. Feel free to complete the list above.

If not already done, you can even do details of paintings by yourself, it’s quite easy, here are some tips : “what part of the painting is attracting your eye first, what do you feel at the moment and want to express that is shown on the picture, what colors or shape makes you feel something strong, what part of the painting makes you understand or interpret its meaning, how would you summarize the painting with (a) part(s) of it, what is the trajectory of your eye on the art, what are the social dynamics of its people, do you want to suggest the scene or to simply show parts of it, where does your eye always come back even when you try not to watch"? And also don’t think you can’t do it (like me at first). It’s about feelings or thoughts more than anything else. If you don’t want (or can’t, ha) post details on Tumblr, it’s really aesthetic in paper diaries!

guys sorry if i’m keeping all the poems and asks not ban-related temporarily on hold, but i think the freedom robbery we are experiencing right now is too important not to give it the full attention. i dread the day we had to mind what we artistically post here because someone decided we cannot, not even here, fully express ourselves as we please. i really hope we can all go back to normal soon. love y’all.

Don’t just delete the app or your blogs, give them 1 star in the google play store (Cause it’s still there). That huge number of 5 stars needs to go down. Tumblr is killing itself with it’s new purge/ban on Adult Content and they need to see in as many ways as possible how much they’ve fucked up.
